About the course

Find out about the process companies need to follow to expand internationally. This second part will help you understand the impact of digitalisation and artificial intelligence on international expansion, learn about the benefits and examples of using digital platforms for international expansion, and identify the key steps and criteria to consider when selecting a target market for international expansion.

  1. Evaluation of viability, opportunities and risks: Discover how to internally analyze whether your company is prepared to expand internationally. You will learn the methods to identify and evaluate opportunities in foreign markets and you will obtain techniques to assess and mitigate risks associated with internationalization.
  2. Analysis of international regulations and limitations: Learn about the different policies that you need to take into account to internationalize: governmental and local; economic, with an evaluation of the impact on your business operation; social, with an analysis of cultural and social factors that affect the market; technological, with considerations about technological infrastructure and its availability; environmental, with information on compliance with environmental regulations and sustainable practices, and legal, with knowledge about key aspects such as intellectual property rights and international contracts.
  3. Development of effective and sustainable internationalization strategies: Create an appropriate entry strategy for your company, which can range from export to franchise or joint ventures. Understand how to adapt your products and services to meet local needs and how to develop a marketing and sales plan tailored to international markets.
  4. Development of communication skills in the business field: Obtain techniques to improve communication with international partners and clients, develop skills to manage intercultural negotiations and resolve conflicts, and discover strategies to adapt communication style to different cultures and business contexts.

The course is completely free and it is fully funded by Santander.

We recommend that you access the course on a laptop or a desktop computer, although you will also be able to access it on a mobile device (tablet / phone). You will require an internet connection to access the content as it is not possible to download or review it offline.

When you have finished the course, you will receive a certificate by email which you can download and save.

The course begins as soon as you enrol, and you can complete it at your own pace.
